James R. Benge

                James R. Benge began his insurance career with Anthem Blue Cross/ Blue Shield and was promoted from                       Sales Representative to Manager of Corporate Sales for the State of Indiana.  In 1987 Jim started Sagamore Benefits under the name of Risk Underwriters of Indiana.  Risk Underwriters of Indiana, going into an affiliation with The Sagamore Health Network in 1994, began doing business as Sagamore Benefits and in 2005 officially became The Sagamore Benefits Group, Inc.

Beginning in 1972, Jim has successfully developed and implemented self-funded, partially self-funded and fully funded group benefit plans for groups of 2 employees up to 20,000 employees in every county in Indiana!   Starting by finding out what the current plan provides, what the group needs, what the group wants, and what the groups budget can afford, Jim will create a plan that simply makes sense.

Mr. Benge is licensed to offer Medicare Supplements, health, life, and disability insurance, annuities, dental, vision, retirement plans, group plans, debt elimination plans and property and casualty insurance. 

Mr. Benge is a member of The National Association of Health Underwriters, The Indiana Association of Health Underwriters,                                                     and the Indianapolis Association of Health Underwriters.
